Good Morning Parents and Students,
Wow, this seems like the longest week and a half. The most important thing to know is that we miss you - a school is a very sad place without students in it.
After this week, you can expect to receive an email every Tuesday afternoon letting you know that this week’s learning activities are ready to be accessed and any other information you may need. This message will also be posted on our Website and Facebook page. Teachers will be checking in with families on a regular basis to discuss the activities and how students are doing. For those of you with limited Internet access, this regularity is to let you know when you can get the new material so you can arrange access to free wi-fi at establishments that offer it. We will try to accommodate alternative methods of delivering the learning activities, but we are not quite there yet.
It is important moving forward that the focus of the learning is NOT about covering all of the curriculum. We are focused on keeping you learning. Read, no matter what it is. Exercise, get some fresh air, we are lucky to live in an area where we can get out and not run into anyone. Bake, practice your fractions and math, then enjoy a tasty treat. For our older students, you will be given access to the key rocks to prepare you for the next level. Keep your brain and your body active - that is the key and we will be here to support you in that way. Take advantage of all the learning opportunities that you can.
By the end of the day tomorrow you will be contacted by one of your teachers to check in with you and let you know a little more about what your learning is going to look like moving forward. We also want to know what you have been up to during this last little while.
There will be regular updates on our Facebook page and website - watch for the contests and activities that will be out there for you to win prizes, starting with “4 Pics 1 Word Geography Challenge”. We will also have daily announcements like Wellness Wednesday and Thankful Thursday along with other surprises from the staff to keep you on your toes.
Keep safe and healthy and remember WE MISS YOU!
