About
École Plamondon School, part of the Northern Lights Public Schools, is located in the small, rural hamlet of Plamondon, Alberta. Plamondon is situated 30 kilometers northwest of Lac La Biche, and 200 kilometers north of Edmonton. 366 students are enrolled at École Plamondon School for the 2017-18 school year, participating in diverse language opportunities consisting of English, French and Russian programs. Being in a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school offers unique possibilities to get to know our students as they grow, and the trilingual nature of our school offers challenges, but helps our students learn and grow with a special connection to the various cultures in and around northern Alberta. Students & Staff develop an appreciation for the French and Russian languages and cultures, all of which are an important part of the Plamondon community history. Our vision at École Plamondon School is to graduate students who value multiculturalism, family, honesty, commitment and work ethic and who are caring, confident, respectful and creative who recognize optimum effort and personal worth in their desire to contribute to the local, national and global community.
